The denigration of Stalin had a political motive behind it. It diminished the confidence of the Soviet people in communist ideology and socialist society when Gorbachev was carrying on the campaign in a planned way denigrating Stalin. The anti revolutionary forces of the society of the Soviet Union were given all sorts of encouragement to violate the basic tenets of socialist Society and for restoration of capitalistic society. The restoration of capitalism in 1991 in erstwhile Soviet Union proved the assessment of Brzeniske to be correct.The constitution of USSR adopted in 1997 deleted the dictatorship of the proletariat (working class) and instead included Communist Party of Soviet Union to guide all affairs of the state. In 1990 Gorbachev without the sanction of the party Congress introduced presidential form of Government and Gorbachev became both, the president of USSR and general secretary of CPSU. Thus Gorbachev took all powers in his hand to introduce capitalism in 1991 after dissolving both USSR and CPSU. This was the final achievement of the leadership of CPSU in 38 years after Stalin’s death.The revolution which gradually gain upper hand in China, Cuba and elsewhere, were irreversible. The twentieth century had already proven itself the bloodiest in human history. Yet it was also a period of enormous advances in human liberation.There were wholsale massacres of ‘Communists’ in Indochina, Indonesia, the Cango, Nigeria, Pakistan and the Sudan which were in revolt against their governments.Today, a hundred year after the Russian Revolution, conditions have changed and the clock has been turned back and Russia has become a capitalist country, the alternative to a changed society is darkness.&nbsp;–C.
